A tapas restaurant in Seville that has clear allergy marking on the menu – with almost every dish being gluten free or possible to make gluten free. And it is all very good!
Details of Establishment:
Name: La Bartola
Type: Restaurant
Location: Calle San Jose 24, 41004 Seville
Tips: Try the warm salad. It must be one of the best salads I have had in Spain.
Gluten free or not gluten free observations:
Item(s) ordered: Tapas chicken of the day | Eggplant salad | Tuna tataki
GF observation: The menu is clearly allergen marked. The staff also knows what ingredients have gluten, so you can safely order. A major plus is that almost every item on the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free (this is also clearly marked). The only negative feedback is that they serve the cutlery inside the free bread basket, which is never a good idea considering cross contamination.
Overall comment: Almost every dish is gluten free or can be made gluten free of the menu options (might vary when it comes to the tapas of the day on the blackboard). You can safely order here, just get cutlery that has not been mushed in between the bread.
