You can never really go wrong with a good steak – especially not an Argentinian one. At La Cabaña Criolla they serve some pretty good ones – and they take gluten free orders seriously.

Tips

Gluten free or not gluten free observations:

Item(s) ordered: Entrecôte with grilled vegetables
GF observation: There is no allergen markings on the menu, so you need to ask the staff what is gluten free. There is an allergy overview on the wall near the restrooms, but it is purely in Spanish and a little hard to decipher. The staff let me know what was safe to eat, and even returned after the order was taken to inform that the vegetables (ordered by my boyfriend) contained butter with gluten but that they would make it without the butter if we were planning to share.

Celiac safety: This is not a fully gluten free establishment, so cross contamination could be a risk. Always notify the staff that you are Celiac.

Overall comment: A little pricey, but well worth it when it comes to taste. Allergen overview on the wall could be made easier to understand, but luckily the staff also know what is safe to eat.

Disclaimer: The above is based on the personal experience and opinion of a Celiac traveler. For eating places, you should still inquire about the gluten free options and ingredients as recipes, kitchen routines, staff and management may have changed. Only places marked “100% Celiac safe” are confirmed free from cross contamination. This post is not sponsored.
