Gluten Free in Salerno: Taverna Santa Maria De Domno

Hidden in an alleyway in the old town of Salerno, you will find this cute and medieval looking restaurant. They have a small, but tasty menu. A little on the costly side, but a lovely ambiance and free welcome drink. A nice place for a gluten free meal in Salerno.

Tips: Tell the staff you are Celiac instantly and they will give you a potato dish instead of bread.

GF observation: The menu is allergen marked. The staff will also be able to guide you. Do note that they are not very good in English, so have some Italian phrases prepared.

Overall comment: It is a lovely little restaurant that seems to be family run. The ambiance is great and the food as well.
