Gluten Free in San Francisco: As Quoted

Date

Finding something  100% gluten free in San Francisco can be a challenge, but there are some gems worth checking out. If you are in Presidio Heights, why not pay As Quoted a visit? It has been featured in Goop (you know, that hard-to-describe-site/magazine/company of Gwyneth Paltrow) and is a safe haven for Celiacs. The prices are, I must warn, a bit steep. But then again, San Francisco in general is on the pricier side.

Details of Establishment:

Name: As Quoted
Type
:  Cafe
Location: 3613 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94118, USA
Tips: Get some breakfast here or some treats to go

Gluten free or not gluten free observations:

Item(s) ordered: Gluten free cookie + fruits
GF observation: The whole cafe is gluten free, so you have no worries

Celiac safety: This is a 100% gluten free cafe, so it is safe to eat here if you have Celiac disease. If you are lactose intolerant as well, it seems many of their products are also dairy free.

Overall comment: It is a little off the “tourist” path, yet still pretty near the Walt Disney Museum, Presidio, Chrissy Fields and – of course – the Golden Gate Bridge. If you like walking, you can get some gluten free treats to go and bring with you as you sightsee in San Francisco.

Disclaimer: The above is based on the personal experience and opinion of a Celiac traveler. For eating places, you should still inquire about the gluten free options and ingredients as recipes, kitchen routines, staff and management may have changed. Only places marked “100% Celiac safe” are confirmed free from cross contamination. This post is not sponsored.
