How many times have you not visited a restaurant and almost drooled with sadness over all the delicious gluten dishes on the menu? At La Terreta the majority of the dishes are marked with gluten ingredients – but there is a major twist here. As many as 90% of the items on the menu can be made allergen safe! How is that for an exciting dining experience? Excellent place for eating gluten free in Alicante!

Gluten free or not gluten free observations:
Item(s) ordered: Gluten free hamburger, grilled vegetables and gluten free tuna patè
GF observation: The menu is allergen marked and the staff is knowledgeable about allergens. On the last page of the menu you will also see a note that says that almost all dishes can be made allergen safe. Ask your waiter about it and specify gluten free version when ordering.
Celiac safety: This is not a 100% gluten free establishment. Therefore, you need to be careful when it comes to cross contamination. Inform the staff if you have Celiac disease.
Overall comment: A romantic ambiance and extensive menu. Staff are attentive and accommodating, and will even plainly tell you if your food order seems to be too big (we over ordered thinking it was small tapas dishes, but the waiter saved us from disaster). I would definitely recommend dining at La Terreta if you are eating gluten free in Alicante.
