Gluten Free Gdynia: Malika Restaurant

Date

I never expected to try out Moroccan food while in Poland, but I’m glad I did. I did not stumble upon this place by accident, but had singled it out while looking up eating places in Gdynia in advance. You can sit inside and outside at this establishment, and I found the interior to have a homey feel.

DETAILS OF ESTABLISHMENT

Name: Malika Restaurant
Type:  Restaurant
Location: Armii Krajowej 9/1, 81-395 Gdynia
TipsNot too many gluten free options, but worth checking out.

OBSERVATIONS

OrderTraditional Moroccan stew

Gluten free observation:  The menu is not allergen marked, but you can ask the staff about gluten free options. I originally ordered a different dish after being informed it was gluten free, but the waiter came back minutes later apologizing as it wasn’t gluten free after all. Kudos to staff and kitchen for following up.

Celiac safety: This establishment is not 100% gluten free, so you need to make your own assessment of the cross contamination risks.

Disclaimer: The above is based on the personal experience and opinion of a Celiac traveler. For eating places, you should still inquire about the gluten free options and ingredients as recipes, kitchen routines, staff and management may have changed. Only places marked “100% Celiac safe” are confirmed free from cross contamination. This post is not sponsored.
