If you are looking for a destination that has spectacular coastal scenery, look no further. Fuerteventura is an island where the inland is rather bare and makes you feel like you are on Mars. When you reach the coast, however, you will be treated with breathtaking nature and splendid beaches. In the north of the island, you should not miss out on visiting the two cities El Cotillo and Corralejo.
Here is some of what awaits you:
1. El Cotillo: El Toston Lighthouse
2. El Cotillo: Beach lagoons at Playa de los Lagos
3. El Cotillo: Viewpoint towards El Cotillo Beach
4. Corralejo: Cozy center with small city beaches
5. Corralejo: Good and affordable food (even a 100% gluten free restaurant)
6. Corralejo: Sand dunes and long stretching beach
7. Corralejo: Snorkeling, surfing, wind surfing and paddle boarding opportunities
Wondering how to get around? Try a scooter for maximum freedom!
